The "r" in Bam Bar was covered and my mind filled in Bam Bam, Barney and Betty Rubble's boy. Bam Bam! And that breakfast granita looks more like what I'd have dessert after dinner! Definitely more sumptuous than my usual granola.
It’s so delicious, Crowden! And there’s always a story that goes with everything you put in your mouth—and a great view of something as you eat it! Bam Bar, by the way, is named for the owner’s family, which I believe is called Bambara.
I can see why it’s Sabrina’s favorite place—it might be mine as well, though I found something to love in each of the places we visited. I will definitely read your piece about Taormina with great interest. Thanks for your comment and for your excellent writing about your travels as well.
Oh my gosh, Ruth! The pictures! Your descriptions! That gelato! And the pepper haired man! Dream trip, can’t wait to hear more. Btw, THE GODFATHER (first one) is my favorite movie of all time, so amazing you got to see where the Sicily storyline was filmed! Ciao! ❤️
Thanks, Jolene! So very glad you enjoyed this. I'll have a more to say about The Godfather connection in a future post--there are several places we visited that were used as sets in not only the first movie but in the two others as well, including the gorgeous opera house in Palermo, the Teatro Massimo, which is featured in a tragic sequence in the third film.
The food and the country look delicious. Hope to get there someday. Sounds like you having a beautiful time. Can hardly wait to hear your stories.
I would like to eat in Sicily! It's only fair! .....bro Denis
Okay, dear bro! When do you want to go?
I love your photos Ruth and love seeing what you've been eating. It looks like it's been a fabulous trip. Look forward to hearing more.
Thanks so much, Julia! More to come very soon.
Wow! My mouth is watering! Awesome pictures, Ruth!
Thanks, Susan! And there’s so much more!

A gelato a day is habit forming! This time last year we had just returned from Italy where we had one every single day.
Absolutely, Bev! Now that we’re back home, I’m having withdrawal symptoms! 🍧🍨🍧
Glad you enjoyed your visit to Sicily, Ruth. Looking forward to reading more about your travels!
Thanks for reading, Domenica! Looking forward to sharing some more from our travels soon.
Love the foodie update and can’t wait to hear more about your travels. Xx
Thanks so much, Marg! Coming soon after we get home (finally!).
Everything looks so good!😋
I hope we can go there some day. ❣️
Thanks for the comment, Mayumi! I think you’d love it, perhaps Taormina most of all.
Wonderful, Ruth!
Taormina is hands down Sabrina’s favourite town in Italy and you can read about our own love affair with this sybaritic place here
