Thanks, Jolene! It's the work of a talented artist who just happens to be married to my son.💕

Thanks for this wonderfully interesting post Ruth. I enjoyed it very much. I agree that the best thing we can do in these terrible times is look after our loved ones and give generously.

Thanks so much, Marg! Since we can't physically join the fight, those are truly the best options. But I still can't help feeling it's not enough.😢

Yes! Putintaschen! One of the reasons for annual celebrations is to reinforce the lessons of the past!

Putintaschen made me laugh out loud. 😂 My favorite fillings, I've yet to discover, because (sorry Ruth, I really am) not a fan. But maybe I'll make an exception for your recipe, and enjoy stuffing them (ahem) with blueberry jam and lemon curd in honor of the Ukrainian flag.

I'm glad you got a laugh, Annette! Many folks aren't fans of poppyseed or prune--the flavors really are very old school--but, then, so am I! I saw one recipe that mixed in chocolate with the poppyseed--that might improve the taste (chocolate aways does!). I LOVE the idea of making cookie in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and blueberry and lemon curd would be awesome! 😊

Ellen, I'm determined to try the marbled cheesecake hamantaschen sometime soon--maybe a nice change from prune and poppyseed! I'll let you know what I think!💜
