Ruth, What an absolutely sweet story. Isn't it wonderful that we come around to appreciating our elders, hopefully while they are still around? I tell the kids that they will realize my advice to them will eventually make sense and they've acknowledged it eventually. Funny how it's true of every generation! I loved seeing your picture your mother when you were younger. Precious pictures. Great story and great tribute Ruth.

Thanks so very much, Patricia! It is true that we often appreciate the ones closest to us in retrospect. I sometimes wish I could tell my mother how much better I understand her now. And I know what you mean about feeing like your advice to younger folks doesn't quite sink in. But that's the way it has to be, I guess, as the advice only makes sense when they've made a few mistakes!🤗
