What a gift, all these beautiful views and photos, thank you Ruth! I see you've gotten yourself a copy of Gateau... isn't it just beautiful? Can't stop flickinng through its pages and admiring the delicate illustrations 😍

What a beautiful read, Ruth, and to end with Madeleine is so perfect! I saw some of Jeff’s photo walk, love his beret! Thanks for this wonderful ‘virtual’ trip! 🇫🇷 ✨

My Paris answer to Proust's Madeleines may be the hot dog 🌭 I ate at the top of the Eiffel Tower 🗼 I don't think those are still a thing, but they were in 1976. A cut portion of baguette rammed onto a steel rod, and the snappy, well-seasoned hot dog plunged into the resulting hole. Good job I was too young to have yet developed a dirty mind. Never have forgotten it. Did you see anything like, Ruth?

Beautiful photos, as usual, and delicious descriptions of cookies and your mom's cake. Looking forward to that rugalah.

Such beautiful, glowing photos Ruth! I must admit that I have never eaten a madeline. Can they be baked in another type of pan? Looking forward to your latke recipe.

So envious that you got to see the Renoirs side by side. I think that the times we went, the Country Dance was "on tour".
